Radiology uses imaging technology to help diagnose and guide the treatment of a variety of health conditions. WVSOM Health offers general X-rays, ultrasound and bone density services to support accurate diagnosis and care planning.
Images are interpreted by board-certified radiologists, giving patients and providers valuable insight to help determine the next steps in care.

Our team works to make each visit as efficient and comfortable as possible while ensuring ordering providers receive imaging reports in a timely manner. With a secure PACS system, WVSOM Health is able to support quick turnaround times for results, including STAT studies.

Diagnostic X-Ray Exams
An X-ray is a noninvasive medical test that helps providers diagnose and treat medical conditions. X-rays are the most frequently used form of medical imaging.
Bone Density Scan (DEXA)
DEXA is the most commonly used method for diagnosing osteoporosis. It's also effective in tracking the effects of treatment for osteoporosis and other conditions that cause bone loss. DEXA is simple, quick and noninvasive.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound imaging uses high-frequency sound waves to provide images of the inside of the body. The images provide more accuracy in assisting with diagnostic procedures and deliver valuable information when diagnosing a variety of diseases and conditions.
